Talk about it in: THE MX.COM FORUMS
- Check It! Slaughter House Cycle sponsored Rider Mike
Leavitt rode his Thumpstar 120 to good showings in both
Open classes at the Unadilla Pit Bike Nationals.
Sponsored by Great Lakes Powersports, the line was full
of talent, many classes and lots of hot pitbikes. We
saw bikes that people claimed were worth more than $20K
and
they looked it. But the Leavitt mounted SHC/Leavitt
Racing/Thumpstar sponsored Thumpstar 120 was ready to
play
the Thumpstar held it's own among all the
competition. When the gate dropped, Leavitt pulled a
huge holeshot and led the pack right up in through the
first turn
this progress continued until the, ahem,
"pitbikes" behind him finally tracked him
down and got in his face.
Leavitt's finishes in the 50cc OPEN
class were an awesome 3rd and 4th for fourth place overall.
Leavitt's finishes in the MIDSIZE OPEN Class were a
strong 8th and 9th for eighth place overall. Jumping
into the famous "Gravity Cavity" proved to
be a thrill to watch.
SHC's next stop will be at the Broome
Tioga Pitbike Nationals where we hope to be back and
stronger than ever, and then Steel City after that.
Keep an eye on the SHC Crew.
